UPSC Prelims 2023:<\/strong>UPSC Prelims is the preliminary stage of the Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in India. It is the first phase of the three-tiered examination process and serves as a screening test for candidates aspiring to join prestigious civil services like the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and more.<\/p>\n

UPSC Prelims 2023 Exam Pattern<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The UPSC CSE Prelims consist of two objective-type papers: General Studies I and General Studies II (CSAT), carrying a total of 400 marks. These papers are typically conducted on the same day in two sessions using the traditional pen-paper (offline) mode.<\/p>\n

The UPSC Prelims 2023 is a qualifying exam for the Civil Services Mains Exam<\/a>. Candidates who clear the Prelims Exam are eligible to appear for the Mains Exam. The Mains Exam is a more difficult exam than the Prelims Exam 2023 and is held in two stages: the written exam and the interview.<\/p>\n

UPSC Prelims 2023 Syllabus<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The UPSC exam’s official syllabus is published along with the IAS notification. The UPSC notification for 2023 was released on 1st February 2023. The UPSC Prelims Exam 2023 for Civil Services was successfully conducted on 28th May 2023 in two shifts. Paper 1 was held from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, and Paper II (CSAT), a qualifying exam, took place from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
