SEHER Program

 The Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) and TransUnion CIBIL have recently launched the SEHER programme.

SEHER Programme:

  • Objective: To enhance financial literacy among women entrepreneurs in India and underscore the significance of maintaining a favourable credit history and CIBIL score to facilitate smoother access to finance.
    • The program assists women in comprehending and effectively managing credit, essential for fostering business growth.

Components of SEHER Program

  • Financial Education: Educate women on financial topics, including their CIBIL Rank and commercial credit reports.
  • Business Skills: Offer resources and training to support women in managing and expanding their businesses.
  • Financial Access: Assist women in understanding effective credit access and management.

  • Internet Archive, a non-profit that aims to digitise, preserve, lend, and share multimedia content, is embroiled in a major legal challenge.

Internet Archives: 

  • Controversy: Books digitized and uploaded by Internet Archive, including those in the public domain like historical sources and old classics, have sparked allegations from traditional publishers of copyright violations through unauthorized scanning and distribution of their physical copies as digital files.
