Atal Bihari Vajpayee: His Early Years:
- Member of Parliament: At the young age of 33, Vajpayee became a Member of Parliament and impressed everyone by his oratory skills.

- Integrity: He preferred to face no confidence in Parliament rather than to stay in power using unfair means such as horse trading.
- Decisive Leadership: During Pokhran II tests, it was anticipated that India would get isolated in the International community, but he managed it deftly.
- Statesmanship: Being an opposition leader, he acknowledged Indira Gandhi’s courage in the 1971 war against Pakistan and compared her with goddess Durga.

- Support to Economic Reforms: He supported economic reforms which were started during the regime of Narasimha Rao
- Telecom Revolution: He brought reforms in telecom sector which broke monopoly of BSNL and led to entry of private players
