UPSC notification 2024 was released by UPSC on 14 February 2024. Candidates have time till 5th March to submit their application for UPSC prelims 2024. The prelims exam will be conducted on 16th of June 2024, while mains will begin from 20th September 2024.
UPSC notification 2024 has made changes to the method of filling the form for UPSC prelims 2024. Candidates will have to check the instructions carefully while filling the form. There are no major changes in terms of exam pattern and syllabus.

UPSC notification 2024 was released on 14th February 2024. According to the notification, there are 1056 vacancies this year. The prelims will be held on 16th June.

UPSC notification 2024 has provided certain criteria that candidates have to fulfil for filling the form for UPSC prelims and UPSC mains.
The age criteria according to the UPSC notification 2024 for candidates belonging to the General category is 21 to 32 years.
To be eligible for UPSC examination 2024, candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 32 years old as of August 1, 2024.
However, there are age limit relaxation for candidates belonging to certain categories:

Age Relaxation for PWD Candidate
The prescribed upper age-limit of an examination (wherever applicable) is relaxable up to a maximum of 10 years in the case of candidates belonging to PwBD categories as below (a) low vision and blindness; (b) deaf and hard of hearing; (c) Locomotor disability, including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy; (d) Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; (e) Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (e) including deaf, blindness. PwBD candidates, who also belong to either SC or ST or OBC or Ex-servicemen, are eligible for grant of cumulative age-relaxation under both categories. |
According to UPSC notification 2024, a candidate has to register oneself on the OTR application before proceeding with filling the form.
The Candidate has to fill the Part-1 of the application form before proceeding to the Part-2. Steps involved in filling the Part-1 of the application form is as follows:
Without filling the Part 2 of the exam, a candidature is invalid. It is therefore advised to fill Part 2 immediately after completing Part 1.
UPSC notification 2024 has mentioned the amount that candidates are required to pay as examination fees. There is also a list of exempted candidates.
