documents reveal that <\/span><b>almost 60.5% of the total Sariska Tiger Reserve land has not been transferred to the forest department yet.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>Land Ownership Issues Plague Sariska Tiger Reserve, Prompting Concerns for Wildlife Habitat<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sariska Tiger Reserve was <\/span><b>allotted a total 88,111.2 hectares\u00a0 in 1978<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, but the forest department still has not been handed ownership of 53,308.96 hectares due to pending mutation processes by the revenue department.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Current Status: Of the 53308 hectares a<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">waiting mutation process, required for the transfer of land ownerships,<\/span><b> approximately 41,239 hectares is in STR and\u00a0 2,096 hectares in the Alwar range.\u00a0<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, about <\/span><b>10,000 hectares of land are still not surveyed<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and are in process.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Impact:\u00a0<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Illegal Allocation:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The unclear land Rights encourages <\/span><b>illegal allocation of land within the tiger reserve and its surrounding areas.<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>NGT has also notified the CBI for investigation <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to check for illegal allocation of forest land<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Exploited and Encroached: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proliferation of colonies, hotels, encroachments, and industrial areas in this region is seen.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Severe Environmental Damage:<\/b> <b>Illegal mining and hotel construction<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s are rampant in the region affecting the ecosystem of the park.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Non forestry activities: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to the absence of clear land titles, a<\/span><b>reas within the park such as the Tehla Gate, have been utilized for non-forestry activities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> since they are still classified as Revenue Land.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Lack of Transparency:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The vagueness in titles result in <\/span><b>forest department acting in discretion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and halting activities outside the boundaries of the park<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Intervention needed:\u00a0<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Delimiting and demarcating<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 11 are male adults,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 14 are female adults, and 8 cubs and sub adults.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Flora: Dhok (Anogessus pendula)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is the dominant tree species <\/span><b>covering over 90% area <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the forest. <\/span><b>Kathaa (Acacia
