A Game Changer in Air-to-Surface Missiles<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rudram, <\/span><b>India&#8217;s first anti-radiation missile (ARM),<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is an Air-to-Surface missile developed by DRDO.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Comprises:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Navigation System:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The missile uses a navigation mechanism consisting of a satellite-based Global Positioning System (GPS) and an inertial navigation system.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Passive Homing Head:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It employs a &#8220;passive homing head&#8221; for guidance, enabling it to accurately strike targets even if the radiation source switches off during the engagement.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Mandate:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To <\/span><b>detect, track, and neutralize <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the enemy&#8217;s radio frequency sources, including radar, communication assets, and other radio frequency sources.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Future Developments and Advanced Versions:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>RudraM-1: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It primarily aims at Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>RudraM-2 and RudraM-3: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are under development with ranges of 350 and 550 km, respectively.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Significance: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The development of these missiles began around eight years ago, with plans for future tests and inductions to<\/span><b> enhance the IAF&#8217;s air superiority tactical capability.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"width: 100.242%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr style=\"height: 36px;\">\n<td style=\"width: 5458.63%;
