three tiger reserves<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Achanakmar Tiger Reserve <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in Mungeli district,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Indravati Tiger Reserve<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Bijapur district,\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Udanti-Sitanadi Tiger Reserve <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0in Gariaband district.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>New Tiger Reserve:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The <\/span><b>Guru Ghasidas-Tamor Pingla Tiger Reserve is Chhattisgarh\u2019s fourth tiger reserve.<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will integrate the <\/span><b>Guru Ghasidas National Park and Tamor Pingla Sanctuary.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will be spread across the districts of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Koriya, Surajpur, and Balrampur.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Reasons for establishing a new tiger reserve: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to a <\/span><b>National Tiger Conservation Authority report<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> released in July 2023, Chhattisgarh\u2019s tiger population<\/span><b> decreased from 46 in 2014 to 17 in 2022.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>National Tiger Conservation Authority Approval: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NTCA had accorded its assent to the proposal in 2021.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, the notification of the tiger reserve hanged in fire<\/span><b> due to the presence of coal block, oil block and methane gas block in the regions falling under it.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Benefits: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The formation of the new tiger reserve is expected to<\/span><b> boost eco-tourism<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Achanakmar Wildlife Sanctuary was constituted in the year 1975 it comprises 557.55 sq kms in the north west forest block of Bilaspur forest division.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Forest vegetation mainly comprises <\/span><b>Sal, Saja, Tinsa, Bija, Bamboo.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight:
