    • About: <\/b>The Global South refers to the<\/span> developing and the less-developed countries of the world.<\/b><\/li>\n
    • Brandt Line: <\/b>Proposed by German Chancellor<\/span> Willy Brandt<\/b> in the<\/span> 1980s,<\/b> this<\/span> line visually depicts the global north-south economic divide, based on per-capita GDP<\/b>, spanning Africa, the Middle East, India, and China, while excluding Australia and New Zealand.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      About Global South Summit:<\/b><\/p>\n

      • About:<\/b>\u00a0 It is an initiative that envisages<\/span> bringing together countries of the Global South<\/b> and sharing their perspectives and priorities on a common platform across a whole range of issues.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Philosophical Foundation: <\/b>Rooted in the Indian principle of <\/span>Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam<\/b>, meaning <\/span>\u2018the world is one family\u2019.<\/b><\/li>\n
      • Structure:<\/b>The summit\u00a0 is structured into <\/span>Leaders’ Session<\/b> and <\/span>ministerial sessions<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  • It was developed by the<\/span> Central Water Commission (CWC).\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n
  • The app now gives information about floods from man<\/span>y more places (592) compared to before (200).<\/b><\/li>\n

    • The app also tells you how full big water tanks (called reservoirs) are.\u00a0<\/span>\n

      • This is important because when these tanks are too full, it can cause floods in nearby areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
