  • Belongs to:<\/b> Genus Curcuma (the ginger family Zingiberaceae)<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Named after: <\/b>Ungma (<\/span>village<\/b> in Mokokchung district where it was found)<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Distribution: <\/b>Curcuma<\/span><\/i> is widely distributed in<\/span> south and southeast Asia and south China.<\/b> A few species are also found in <\/span>northern Australia and the south Pacific.<\/b>\n
