border-color: #000000; background-color: rgba(184, 165, 217, 0.53); text-align: left; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%;\">\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 16pt; color: #000000;\"><b>Satavahana dynasty<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is also called<\/span><b> Andhras<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Puranas.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This kingdom mainly covered modern-day <\/span><b>Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra.<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Founder:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Simuka\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was the satavahana kings that produced <\/span><b>coins for the first time with their names<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on it in the south.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Famous stupas: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amaravati Stupa and Nagarjunakonda Stupa ( Andhra Pradesh).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each torana consists of<\/span><b> two square pillar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s that support three curved beams, with carvings all over.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Carvings:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The gateways are decorated with carvings that show scenes from the Buddha\u2019s life, Jataka Tales, and other Buddhist symbols.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They also have floral and plant designs, and some carvings depict love scenes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Buddha <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is not shown in <\/span><b>human form.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"width: 99.9282%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 137.812%;
