style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Government spending on healthcare has steadily increased.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GHE as a share of GDP rose from <\/span><b>1.13% (2014-15) to 1.84% (2021-22).<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GHE as part of General Government Expenditure (GGE) grew from 3<\/span><b>.94% to 6.12% in the same period.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In per capita terms, GHE tripled from Rs. <\/span><b>1,108 (2014-15) to Rs. 3,169 (2021-22).<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Between 2020-21 and 2021-22,<\/span><b> GHE increased by 37%<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> due to the COVID-19 response.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" (OOPE)<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OOPE decreased from<\/span><b> 62.6% of <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Total Health Expenditure (THE) <\/span><b>in 2014-15 to 39.4% in 2021-22.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This decline reflects increased <\/span><b>public spending, reducing the financial burden on households.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\"><b>Increase in Government Share in Total Health crore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s, representing <\/span><b>3.73% of GDP.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I<\/span><b>n 2021-22,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> THE rose to Rs<\/span><b>. 9,04,461 crores, or 3.83% of GDP.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\"><b>Growth in Social Security Expenditure (SSE) on Health<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SSE on health rose from<\/span><b> 5.7% of THE (2014-15) to 8.7% (2021-22)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span
