It is recognized as the earliest recorded use of zero, marking a significant contribution to mathematics.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 15pt; color: #000000;\"><b>Languages of Indian Manuscripts<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Around<\/span><b> 75% of manuscripts are in Sanskrit<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">The remaining 25% exist in regional languages, reflecting India\u2019s diverse linguistic heritage.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Establishment:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 2003, by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Mandate:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Identifying, documenting, conserving, and making accessible India\u2019s manuscript heritage<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Motto: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conserving the past for the future<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Presently, NMM is a part of the<\/span><b> Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><b>Achievements of National Mission for Manuscripts<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">52 lakh manuscripts have been prepared and roughly over<\/span><b> 3 lakh titles <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have been <\/span><b>digitized.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> However, <\/span><b>only one-third <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of them have been<\/span><b> uploaded.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the past 21 years, NMM had undertaken <\/span><b>preventive and curative conservation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of<\/span><b> 9 crore folios.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The mission has published more than 100 books since its inception, with the list of these publications available in<\/span><b> Annexure-I.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The mission has established over <\/span><b>100 Manuscripts Resource Centres &#038;
