30.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">The 3rd Annual Digital Life Certificates (DLCs) Campaign\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Organized by: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0The <\/span><b>Department of Pension and Pensioners\u2019 Welfare <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(DoPPW) under the Ministry of Personnel.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1,900 camps are being held across India to assist pensioners in generating DLCs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Jeevan Pramaan Data<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the previous campaign, <\/span><b>1.47 crore DLCs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> were generated, including <\/span><b>45.46 lakh central government pensioners<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. biometric enabled digital service<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><b>About Digital Life Certificates (DLCs) or Jeevan Pramaan<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a<\/span><b> biometric enabled digital service<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for pensioners.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Launch Date: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2014.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since then\u00a0 the government has issued Digital Life Certificates (DLCs) or Jeevan Pramaan to simplify the process.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Purpose: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eliminates the need for pensioners to physically visit pension-disbursing authorities (banks, post offices) or submit paper certificates.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Pensioner Statistics: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of March 31, 2024, there were <\/span><b>64.88 crore pensioners<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Primary beneficiaries of Digital Life Certificates (DLCs):\u00a0<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Central and state Government Pensioners<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Defense and Armed Forces Pensioners<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Retirees from the Indian Railways<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Employees from various PSUs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Retired faculty and
