style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>famous for its unusual blooming cycle<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and its ability to attract<\/span><b> carrion-eating insects <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for pollination.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Habitat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The corpse flower is<\/span><b> native to the rainforests of western Sumatra, Indonesia.<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Indonesia, it is known as <\/span><b>Bunga bangkai,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> where <\/span><b>Bunga means flower<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and<\/span><b> bangkai means corpse.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Size and Structure<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The plant can grow as tall as 3 meters (approximately 10 feet).<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It features a <\/span><b>tall, phallic-shaped spadix (a central spike)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that is surrounded by a large, <\/span><b>purple spathe (a petal-like structure) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">which unfurls during blooming.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: underground corm (a bulb-like structure).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The plant undergoes<\/span><b> multiple leaf cycles,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which help<\/span><b> it accumulate sufficient energy before entering the flowering stage.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"
