style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><b>RBI Proposes Overhaul of Co-Lending Guidelines<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>Context: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RBI has proposed\u00a0 a revamp of its co-<\/span><b>lending guidelines <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to include <\/span><b>all regulated entities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>loan categories,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> signaling a significant shift in India\u2019s credit distribution model<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While this model was intended to enhance <\/span><b>financial inclusion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, its narrow focus has limited its utility across the broader lending landscape.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\"><b>Proposed Changes<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the proposed changes, the RBI intends to:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Allow all REs,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> not just banks and NBFCs, to <\/span><b>participate in co-lending.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Include<\/span><b> all categories of loans, expanding beyond PSL<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to cover segments like housing, education, MSMEs, and consumer finance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Issue detailed guidelines in the coming months, according to RBI Governor Sanjay style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Typically, it involves a bank and a non-banking financial company (NBFC) partnering to provide loans.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><b>Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI)<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>Context: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the <\/span><b>Ministry of Panchayati Raj has launched the Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI).\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\"><b>About the Panchayat Advancement Index<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The PAI is a <\/span><b>composite, multi-domain index<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that evaluates Gram Panchayats based on their <\/span><b>performance across nine themes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> aligned with Localized <\/span><b>Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs).\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This first-of-its-kind initiative provides a data-driven framework to assess and advance the development of over <\/span><b>2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats (GPs) across India.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These themes encapsulate the key aspects of rural well-being, including:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Poverty-Free and
