400;\"> on the India Meteorological Department\u2019s (IMD) radar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This sh<\/span><b>ape is technically called a \u201cbow echo\u201d, which looks like an archer\u2019s bow.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is a Bow Echo?<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><b>bow echo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a <\/span><b>line of thunderstorms<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, also known as a <\/span><b>squall line<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, that looks like a <\/span><b>bow or arch<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on weather radar.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It can be part of a <\/span><b>larger storm system<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" falls<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to the ground and spreads out.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This creates a
