                About Kumbakonam Vetrilai<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

                • It is known as<\/span> betel leaf.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n
                • These are grown in <\/span>Thanjavur\u2019s Cauvery river basin<\/b>, which enhances their distinct taste and aroma.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • The leaves are heart-shaped, dark to light gr<\/span>een, and have a pungent taste.<\/b><\/li>\n
                • I<\/b>ts first leaves emerge <\/span>20\u201325 days after planting.<\/b><\/li>\n
                • The first harvest, <\/span>called maaruvethalai, <\/b>occurs between <\/span>the 7th and 12th month,<\/b> yielding larger, longer-lasting leaves that command higher prices.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Second and third-year harvests\u2014<\/span>kelavethalai and kattavethalai<\/b>\u2014produce smaller yields.<\/span><\/li>\n
