aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A transgender couple from <\/span><b>Kozhikode,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> had challenged the Municipal Corporation\u2019s refusal to list them as<\/span><b> \u2018parents\u2019 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in their child\u2019s birth certificate.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, the certificate identifies the couple as the <\/span><b>\u2018father (transgender)\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><b>\u2018mother (transgender)\u2019.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The couple argued that the<\/span><b> traditional labels of
