    Scale of spreading H5N1 virus:<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

    • Origin of H5N1: <\/b>The first <\/span>H5N1 infection s<\/b>pilt over to humans directly from chickens in <\/span>Hong Kong in 1997.<\/b><\/li>\n
    • Spread of H5N1 in India:<\/b> The first H5N1 patient was reported i<\/span>n Maharashtra in 2006. <\/b>An outbreak in<\/span> December 2020 and early 2021<\/b> spread across <\/span>15 States.<\/b><\/li>\n
    • Spread in Other Species: <\/b>This pathogen has crossed many<\/span> species barriers<\/b>, causing<\/span> mortality <\/b>among the polar bears in the <\/span>Arctic and seals and seagulls in Antarctica.<\/b><\/li>\n
