It consists of <\/span><b>15 to 18 members<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who are the <\/span><b>senior most<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and in fact <\/span><b>most effective ministers <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the council.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>The PM along with the cabinet ministers <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">deliberate and decide on various policies of national importance.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>cabinet ministers<\/b> <b>hold the key and important portfolios<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> such as Home, Defence, External Affairs, Atomic Energy, Petroleum inter alia.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the <\/span><b>cabinet ministers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> jointly form the<\/span><b> central decision-making authority<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the nation, the Prime Minister selects them with much caution.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The meetings of the cabinet under the <\/span><b>chairmanship<\/b> <b>of the Prime Minister<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are held <\/span><b>once in a week<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and in the case of necessity, more than once in a week and even in a
