Its\u00a0 <\/span><b>primary mandate <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is to safeguard and promote the rights of children as enshrined in various international <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">conventions and national legislation. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) works to ensure the <\/span><b>welfare<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>development<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and\u00a0 <\/span><b>protection of all children in the country<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with a focus on addressing issues related to child abuse,\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">exploitation, education, health, and overall well-being.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">About the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR)<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"border-style: solid; border-color: #000000; background-color: #e9ebe8;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Monitor<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the implementation of the provisions of the Act.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The commission, while inquiring into any matter relating to any offence under the Act, have the same powers as are vested in it under the Commission for the <\/span><b>Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shall include its activities under this Act in the annual report referred to in the Commissions for the Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"border-style: solid; border-color: #000000; background-color: #e9ebe8;\"><b>State Commission For Protection of Child Rights:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> All its features are similar to the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights, except that it is <\/span><b>constituted by the state government<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and it presents a <\/span><b>report to it <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">annually and at such other times as it may deem fit.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Children&#8217;s Court: Expedited Justice and Protection of Child Rights<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Established under the <\/span><b>Commissions for Protection of Child Rights Act (2005)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for<\/span><b> speedy trial<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of offences against children, and violations of child rights.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Authority: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The<\/span><b> state government<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has the authority to designate a court in the state or, for each district, a Court of Session as a Children&#8217;s Court.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, such courts can only be established by the state government with the agreement of the<\/span><b> Chief Justice of the <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/pwonlyias.com\/stage\/upsc-notes\/high-court\/\"><b>High Court<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in that state.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Appointment of Special Public Prosecutor: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For every Children&#8217;s Court, a <\/span><b>public prosecutor or an advocate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (practised for 7 years) is appointed as a <\/span><b>special public prosecutor<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by the state government to conduct cases in that court.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"width: 100.522%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 328.261%;
