On September 17th, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the IICC YashoBhoomi Convention Centre in Dwarka. This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in India’s progress towards hosting world-class events and serves as a testament to the country’s commitment to becoming a premier global hub for conventions, exhibitions, and conferences.
YashoBhoomi Convention Centre is a state-of-the-art facility that features cutting-edge technology and infrastructure to facilitate international excellence and innovation under one roof. It boasts five levels of flexible space that can be tailored to accommodate any type of event. With over 70,000 square feet of event space, it is the largest convention center in India and one of the most comprehensive facilities in Asia. During his visit, Prime Minister Modi also launched the PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2023 at the venue.

Convention Center within ‘Yashobhoomi’ spans an extensive area of 73,000 square meters and encompasses 15 distinct convention spaces, including the Main Auditorium, the Grand Ballroom, and 13 versatile meeting rooms. The Plenary Hall has the capacity to accommodate approximately 6,000 attendees, while the Grand Ballroom can graciously host around 2,500 guests.
The Convention Center stands out with its impressive LED media facade and offers state-of-the-art seating arrangements, wooden flooring, and acoustic wall panels to provide a truly world-class experience.
Notably, ‘Yashobhoomi’ features one of the world’s largest exhibition halls, sprawling over 1.07 lakh square meters. These halls are meticulously designed to cater to exhibitions, trade fairs, and business events, seamlessly connected to a grand foyer area adorned with a stunning copper ceiling, allowing natural light to filter in.
Yashobhoomi is an ambitious project that covers a sprawling area of 8.9 lakh square meters, and its total built-up area surpasses 1.8 lakh square meters. This expansive undertaking required a hefty investment of Rs. 5400 crore to bring it to fruition. The project included the construction of roads, bridges, residential buildings, and various commercial units all within the same complex, making it one of the largest projects in recent memory.
The architectural blueprint of ‘Yashobhoomi’ skillfully blends public circulation zones with outdoor areas, drawing inspiration from the vibrant tapestry of Indian culture. These spaces are adorned with terrazzo floors embellished with brass inlays and various culturally inspired elements.
