Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign

Har Ghar Tiranga: Yesterday marked the beginning of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, a national movement aimed at instilling a sense of patriotism among citizens. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has encouraged people to actively participate in this initiative, which will continue until the 15th of August. Taking to social media, Mr. Modi urged individuals to upload their pictures with the Indian national flag at harghartiranga.com.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the Tiranga represents the spirit of freedom and unity, and every Indian shares an emotional connection with it, which in turn motivates them to contribute towards the progress of the nation. Over three crore people have already uploaded selfies with the tricolour.

Additionally, Mr. Modi appealed to the public to change their social media display pictures as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga movement. He called for widespread support to this distinctive effort, aiming to strengthen the bond between the nation and its people.

Under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Ministry of Culture is coordinating the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. This celebration seeks to commemorate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with the participation of all, fostering increased collaboration and Jan Bhagidari (people’s participation). In the recent episode of Mann Ki Baat on Akashwani, Prime Minister Modi urged individuals to hoist the tricolour at home to mark Independence Day. He also emphasised the importance of continuing the Har Ghar Tiranga tradition, which achieved tremendous success and public participation last year.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Initiates Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, kickstarted the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign with fervor on Sunday. The campaign, aimed at fostering a deep sense of patriotism, commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag on the grounds of the Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur. Yogi Adityanath, who holds the dual role of Chief Minister and the mahant (head priest) of the temple, marked the occasion by taking a selfie with the fluttering tricolor. This initiative, launched on the eve of the 77th Independence Day, seeks to unite citizens under the banner of the Indian flag.

  • Encouraging widespread participation, Chief Minister Adityanath urged people to join hands in making ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ a resounding success.
  • The symbolism behind the campaign’s title, ‘Every Home a Tricolor,’ underlines the idea of fostering a sense of unity and national pride within every household.
  • The initiative echoes the sentiment that the tricolor should not just be a flag but a shared emblem of our collective identity as Indians.
  • The Uttar Pradesh government’s ambition for the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign surpasses previous efforts. Similar to last year, when an astounding 45 million National Flags were hoisted across the state, this year’s initiative aims to extend the reach even further.
  • The tricolor will adorn not only residential buildings but also government and non-governmental offices, as well as educational institutions.
  • In a move that demonstrates the digital age’s power to unite, Chief Minister Adityanath modified his social media profiles to feature the National Flag.
  • By updating his profile pictures with the tricolor emblem, he sought to encourage online communities to embrace the spirit of the campaign. This digital representation of patriotism emphasizes that the values of unity and pride should resonate both in the physical world and in the virtual realm.
  • The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has also extended its reach to educational institutions. Basic and secondary schools in the state welcomed students on Sunday, facilitating the implementation of various ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ activities.
  • Special provisions, including mid-day meals for students, were made to ensure their active engagement in the initiative.
  • The Uttar Pradesh government’s dedication to fostering patriotic sentiments is evident in its comprehensive plan for the upcoming week.
  • In addition to the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign on August 13, the state has organized several poignant events to commemorate Independence Day.
  • Silent processions are scheduled for Partition Day on August 14, aiming to remember the harrowing times of India’s partition and pay homage to its victims.
  • The ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ program will witness the lighting of earthen lamps to honor the sacrifices of soldiers.
  • The week will also see tributes to the families of freedom fighters and those who laid down their lives in service of the nation.

Through initiatives like ‘Har Ghar Tiranga,’ Uttar Pradesh is infusing the spirit of unity, patriotism, and remembrance into the hearts of its citizens, fortifying the bonds that tie the diverse fabric of India together.

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign Commences in Haryana’s Nuh

“Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign was officially launched on Sunday in Haryana’s Nuh district in the wake of the communal violence that occurred on July 31. Deputy Commissioner Dhirendra Khargata unveiled the campaign, which aims to promote unity and harmony through the display of the national flag.

Under this campaign, every household and establishment in the district will proudly hoist the Indian national flag. The inaugural event featured a yatra (procession) organized by the residents of Hilalpur village in the Indri block. Khargata noted that the campaign will continue throughout the district until August 15, encompassing various events and activities.

The district of Nuh recently witnessed unfortunate communal clashes, resulting in the loss of six lives, including two home guards and a religious leader. The violence originated when a procession organized by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) was attacked by unruly mobs in Nuh, subsequently spreading to the neighboring city of Gurugram.

Deputy Commissioner Khargata also announced that the curfew imposed in Nuh will be temporarily relaxed on August 14 and 15, allowing residents to participate in the upcoming Independence Day celebrations. This gesture is aimed at fostering a sense of normalcy and unity among the people of Nuh.
