Key Points:

Satkosia Gorge Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary in Odisha, named after the narrow stretch of River Mahanadi, known as “Sat-kosh”.
It is also a critical tiger habitat recognized by the National Tiger Conservation Authority.
Flora: Dry deciduous forests, moist deciduous forests, and tropical moist forests.
Fauna: Elephants, Tigers, Leopards, Wild dogs, Sloth bears, Gaurs, sambar deer, spotted deer etc.
