About Key Agreements and Signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs)

• Cooperation in Science and Technology: MoU between the Department of Science and Technology (DST), India, and Mauritius’ Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science, and Research to promote innovation in biotechnology, environmental science, and renewable energy.
• Oceanographic Research Collaboration: MoU between CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) and Mauritius Oceanography Institute to advance marine research, sustainable fisheries, and marine biodiversity preservation.
• Strengthening Public Service and Administrative Reforms: MoU with Karmayogi Bharat (India) and Mauritius’ Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reforms for governance reforms and capacity building.
• Power Sector Cooperation: MoU focusing on renewable energy projects like solar and wind energy, and improvements in energy infrastructure.
• Indian Grant Assistance for Small Development Projects: MoU to support Phase II of community development initiatives, enhancing health, education, and sanitation sectors in Mauritius.
• Hydrography Cooperation: Renewal of MoU on maritime safety and hydrographic resources, ensuring secure sea routes and port management.
• Space Cooperation: Agreement on telemetry, tracking, and telecommunications for satellite tracking, space science, and telecommunications between India and Mauritius.
