Jawaharlal Nehru demonstrated extraordinary affection towards kids and persisted to advocate for high-quality education, and that, “Children are the tomorrow of India”, Nehru showed feelings for and made the connection with the importance and children way before this idea became common. 

Along with being Children’s Day, November 14th is also “Bal Diwas” which means “Children’s Day” in Hindi. Children’s Day and Bal Diwas commemorates childhood innocence, learning and dreams across our schools, clubs and communities, to bring our communities together in celebrating the ideals that Nehru envisioned, by conducting competitions, cultural programs, and special speeches.
