Comprehensive Guide to UPSC Exam Pattern for Prelims, Mains, and Interview

Three stages make up the UPSC Exam Pattern: the Personality Test (Interview), Mains, and Prelims. The General Studies (GS) Paper I and the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) Paper II are two objective-type papers that make up the preliminary exam. Nine descriptive papers make up the Mains; these include two optional subject papers, two General Studies papers, one essay paper, and two language papers.

The candidates’ personalities, suitability for a career in the public service, and general comprehension of numerous topics are assessed by the Personality Test. In order to succeed in the UPSC exams and pursue a career in civil services, it is imperative that you comprehend the UPSC test pattern and develop a well-thought-out preparation plan.
