Rekha Gupta has been chosen as the new Chief Minister of Delhi, effective from February 20, 2025. She is born on July 19, 1974, in Julana, Haryana, is an Indian politician who has been serving as the 9th Chief Minister of Delhi since February 20, 2025. She is the fourth woman to hold this position in the capital’s history. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since 2002, Gupta represents the Shalimar Bagh constituency in the Delhi Legislative Assembly.

Her tenure as Chief Minister commenced following the BJP’s success in the 2025 Delhi elections, marking the party’s return to power in the city after 27 years. Gupta’s leadership is expected to focus on addressing critical issues such as pollution control, infrastructure development, and enhancing public services in the National Capital Territory.
