Memflation is the continuous rise in prices of memory chips. It is primarily caused by a mismatch between high demand, especially from AI infrastructure, and a low supply of key components like DRAM and NAND gates.
The main objective of DAY-NRLM is to reduce multidimensional poverty by promoting self-employment. It operates on an SHG (Self-Help Group)-based model, empowering groups of rural women for entrepreneurial activities.
Banks can accept demand deposits (current/savings accounts), whereas NBFCs cannot. Also, deposits in banks are insured up to ₹5 lakh by DICGC, while deposits in NBFCs are not insured by DICGC.
Vienna, the capital of Austria, hosts the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
The RBI has eased restrictions on NBFCs for opening new branches to provide greater operational flexibility and enhance financial inclusion, allowing them to reach remote areas more easily.
