According to the UPSC notification 2024, eligible candidates can expect to receive their Prelims Admit Cards on the last working day of the week preceding the examination date, a practice that aligns with the Union Public Service Commission’s tradition of releasing IAS admit cards well in advance of the official three-week timeline.
The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission), which is responsible for conducting the Civil Services Exam, will upload the IAS Prelims Admit Card 2024 on its official website. Candidates who have successfully registered themselves by applying to the application process can download it using their Registration Number or By Roll Number, provided during the application process, and date of birth.
The UPSC Prelims admit card is a crucial document that registered candidates must bring to the exam center to take the IAS Prelims exam on June 16, 2024. Those candidates who are unable to produce the admit card at the exam center will not be allowed to take the exam.
The UPSC Prelims Admit card for IAS exam has all the personal details provided by the candidate in the application form. The admit card includes the candidate’s name, roll number, address, category, and father’s name. Along with that, it provides exam details like the date, time, location, and other relevant information printed on the admit card. Candidates should verify that the passport-sized photograph and other facts that they uploaded during the UPSC Application Form 2024 are displayed on the admit card correctly or not.
UPSC releases admit cards for each phase individually, which means that there is a separate admit card for prelims, mains, and interviews. Candidates who clear the mains and interview rounds will receive their admit cards and call letters through the official website, respectively.
The UPSC Prelims admit card is exclusively provided to those who have correctly completed their application form. So it becomes very important for the candidates to ensure accurate completion of their application form; otherwise, their candidacy might be invalidated.
The admit card is released only to those candidates who have successfully registered for the preliminary examination. The UPSC Mains admit card is released only for candidates who have cleared their Prelims cutoff and have filled out the Detailed Application Form (DAF) 1 accurately. Candidates must make sure they fill in all the required details in the DAF. If a candidate doesn’t submit DAF-I on time, their candidacy will be canceled, and they won’t get an admit card for the main examination.
Candidates who cleared the main examination must complete DAF-2 before proceeding to the interview round. The e-Summon Letters, Call Letters, or Admit Cards of Personality Tests (Interviews) of candidates will be made available on the UPSC website. It can be downloaded from the Commission’s website. It has become very important to carry the IAS interview call letter to the interview centre along with other required documents. If a candidate doesn’t submit DAF-II on time, their candidacy will be canceled, and they won’t get an interview letter.
