• INSPIRE internship programme: This program targets the top 1% of Class X board students. It organizes science camps during the summer or winter. Students interact with science icons, including Nobel Laureates. These camps offer exposure to scientific pursuit, aiming to inspire students aged 16-17 to choose science. Around 50,000 students are targeted annually.
• Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE): This component encourages meritorious students to study basic and natural sciences at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It offers 12,000 scholarships annually to students aged 17-22 years. The scholarship provides ₹80,000 per annum, including a mentorship grant.
• INSPIRE Fellowship Details: This fellowship supports outstanding students pursuing Ph.D. programs in science and related fields. It offers 1,000 fellowships each year to students aged 22-27 years. The fellowship amount is comparable to CSIR-UGC NET fellowships, including HRA and a contingency grant.
• INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship India: This provides opportunities for early-career researchers with Ph.D. qualifications. It targets 100 individuals aged 27-32 years for five years. Fellows conduct research in various scientific fields and receive a monthly remuneration of ₹1,25,000 plus an annual research grant of ₹35 lakh. This helps them become independent researchers.
• INSPIRE MANAK Scheme: This stands for Million Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge. It targets school students aged 10-15 years (Classes 6-10). The scheme promotes scientific curiosity and innovation. It encourages students to develop original ideas. Schools can nominate up to five students annually. Selected students receive financial support of ₹10,000 for project development.
