Known for his relentless efforts to improve farmers’ lives, he played a pivotal role in land reforms and rural debt relief in India.

| Modified Interest Subvention Scheme (MISS) | Provides concessional short-term agri-loans with an effective interest rate as low as 4%. Institutional credit flow has increased from ₹8.5 lakh crore to ₹25.48 lakh crore by 2023-24, with an interest subsidy of ₹14,252 crore. |
| Kisan Credit Card (KCC) | Introduced in 1998, KCC provides farmers with easy access to credit for agriculture and allied activities. |
| Namo Drone Didi | Approved for 2024-25 to 2025-26 with ₹1,261 crore outlay, this scheme empowers 15,000 Women SHGs by providing drones for agricultural services like fertilizer and pesticide application. ₹141.41 crore has been released. |
| Soil Health Card Scheme | Launched in 2015, it improves soil health and fertilizer use. Over 24.60 crore soil health cards issued, with plans to test 5 crore soil samples by 2025-26 to develop a soil fertility map. |
| Formation & Promotion of 10,000 FPOs | Launched in 2020 with ₹6,865 crore budget, this scheme has formed 9,411 FPOs, benefitting 26.17 lakh farmers. It promotes collective farming and better market access. |
| Kisan Kavach | Launched on 17th December 2024, it is Bharat’s first anti-pesticide bodysuit to protect farmers from harmful pesticide exposure. The first batch of suits has been distributed, ensuring safety in agriculture. |
