Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) is a Govt. of India scheme providing cash incentives to pregnant & lactating mothers to improve health, reduce wage loss, and promote girl child welfare. Launched in 2017, it supports maternal nutrition and boosts positive health behaviour.
Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), launched on 1st January 2017, is a Government of India initiative under the National Food Security Act, 2013, aimed at supporting pregnant and lactating mothers. The scheme provides cash incentives to improve maternal and child health, compensate for wage loss, and encourage positive behavioural change, especially towards the girl child.
