Candidates are required to attempt five questions in total. Questions 1 and 5 are compulsory. From the remaining six questions, candidates must choose any three to attempt, ensuring at least one question is answered from each section. For Santhali, the question paper will be printed in Devanagari script; but candidates will be free to answer either in Devanagari script or in Olchiki.
