UPSC 2026 Last Date To Apply for CSE 2026 is 27 February 2026, up to 6:00 PM. The Union Public Service Commission has extended the last date to apply for UPSC CSE 2026 to 27 February 2026 (6:00 PM). The online application started on 4 February 2026 and must be completed through the official UPSC portal before the revised deadline.

  • One-Time Registration (if not already done): Create an account on the UPSC portal to generate a Universal Registration Number (URN), which will be used for all future UPSC applications. Ensure all personal details are accurate, as they cannot be changed later.
  • Common Application Form (CAF): Fill in your personal, educational, and category details in the CAF carefully, as this form captures all essential information required for the Civil Services Examination. Double-check each entry to avoid errors.
  • Document upload: Upload a recent passport-size photograph, signature, and valid Photo ID in the prescribed format to complete your application. Ensure the files meet UPSC specifications to prevent rejection.
  • Fee payment: Pay the application fee online through the available payment modes unless you are exempted (SC/ST/PwBD). Keep a copy of the payment receipt for your records.
  • Final submission: Review the entire application thoroughly before submitting to avoid mistakes. Once submitted, the form cannot be withdrawn or edited except through the limited correction window.

UPSC 2026 Last Date To Apply Guidelines

Candidates must follow specific rules while submitting their UPSC CSE 2026 application to ensure it is processed correctly. Understanding these guidelines helps avoid mistakes and ensures easy completion of the online application process.

As per the Union Public Service Commission notification:

  • Application must be submitted only online: All registration, form filling, and fee payment should be done through the official UPSC portal.
  • A Universal Registration Number (URN) is generated after One-Time Registration: This URN is unique to each candidate and will be used for all future UPSC applications.
  • A valid Photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, etc.) is mandatory: The ID must match the details provided in the application form.
  • No withdrawal is allowed after submission: Once submitted, the application cannot be cancelled or withdrawn.
  • Candidates must keep their email ID and mobile number active for communication: Official notifications and updates will be sent to these contacts.
