Indian Polity & Economy | The questions shall aim to test candidates’ knowledge of the Country’s political system and the Constitution of India, social systems and public administration, economic development in India, regional and international security issues and human rights including its indicators. |
Indian History | The questions will broadly cover the subject in its social, economic and political aspects. This shall also include the areas of growth of nationalism and freedom movement. |
Indian and World Geography | The questions shall cover the physical, social and economic aspects of geography pertaining to India and the World |
Paper 2 is descriptive and tests language skills, essay writing, and comprehension ability. Paper 2: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension is of 200 marks. Candidates must go through the complete syllabus to prepare for this paper better. Below is the topic-wise CAPF Syllabus Paper 2:

After qualifying in the written exam, candidates have to pass the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Qualified candidates will be summoned for Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. All the PET tests are qualifying in nature. Candidates who meet the prescribed Physical Standards will be put through the Physical Efficiency Tests as shown below:

Candidates who meet the Medical Standards Tests will be summoned for an Interview/Personality Test organized by the Union Public Service Commission. Those who are found medically unfit but permitted to appear before the “Review Medical Board” after appealing to the Appellate Authority will be provisionally invited for the Interview/Personality Tests. interview/personality test carries 150 marks and assesses the candidate’s leadership, presence of mind, and overall personality. Only candidates who pass the medical tests are called for the interview.
