The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has opened the EPFO Application Form 2025 process from July 29, 2025. The last date to apply has now been extended to 22nd August 2025 (11:59 PM), giving candidates four extra days beyond the earlier deadline of 18th August. This recruitment drive offers 230 vacancies for Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer (EO/AO) and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) posts. Applicants must hold a graduate degree, with preference given to candidates from law, management, or related disciplines.

The UPSC EPFO Application Form 2025 process started on 29th July 2025 for a total of 230 vacancies of Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer (EO/AO) and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) posts. Earlier, the last date to apply was 18th August 2025, but the Union Public Service Commission has now extended it to 22nd August 2025 (11:59 PM). Additionally, a Correction Window will be available from 23rd August 2025 (10:00 AM) to 25th August 2025 (6:00 PM), giving candidates an opportunity to rectify mistakes in their application forms. Interested candidates must hold a graduate degree in any stream, though preference will be given to those with qualifications in law, management, or related disciplines. The UPSC will start shortlisting candidates for the 230 posts through the application process. Therefore, it is crucial for aspirants to carefully complete all the steps of the application. Missing any detail may lead to the cancellation of the application.

Here are the steps candidates must follow to complete the UPSC EPFO application process for AO/EO and APFC posts:

  • Visit the UPSC’s official site at upsc.gov.in or directly open the application page at upsconline.nic.in.
  • Candidates who are registering for the first time will need to complete a One-Time Registration (OTR). For this, they must provide their personal details accurately. After completing this process, candidates will receive a registration ID and password to log in.
  • Use the OTR credentials to access the application dashboard.
  • Next, candidates should select the post for which they want to apply (EO/AO or APFC). Those who want to apply for both posts must submit a separate application form.
  • Fill in all necessary sections such as contact details, educational background, and other necessary details. Candidates must ensure that all the details are accurate. 
  • After entering all the mandatory details, candidates should scan and upload the following documents in the specified size and format:
  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Candidate’s signature
  • Valid photo ID proof
  • Candidates belonging to General/OBC/EWS category are required to pay INR 25 as UPSC EPFO application fee. However, those belonging to SC/ST/PwBD category and female candidates from all categories are exempted from paying application fee. 
  • After completing the fee payment process, candidates should carefully review their application to rectify any mistakes.
  • After reviewing all the details, candidates should proceed to submit the application form and download a copy for future reference.

To successfully complete the application process for the UPSC EPFO 2025 exam, applicants must make the prescribed fee payment through one of the approved channels. UPSC has provided several payment modes for the convenience of candidates. These are:

  • Offline Method: To pay the application fee offline, candidates should download and print the challan from the UPSC website. Then they should visit any of the SBI branches to pay the fee in cash.
