Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a short notice in the newspaper regarding the UPSC EPFO Notification 2025 on 22nd July 2025. It has announced recruitment for 230 vacancies under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). This recruitment drive is for the posts of Enforcement Officer (EO)/Accounts Officer (AO) and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC).
The official notification is expected to be released on 26th July, and the application process starts from 29th July to 18 August 2025. The exam will be conducted under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, and the selection will be done through a Written Test and an Interview/Personality Test.

A short notification has been released in the newspaper regarding the vacancies for posts of EO/AO and APFC. The detailed notification is expected to be released today i.e., 26th July, 2025. The official notification will include the name of the post and total vacancies, important dates like application start/end and exam date, eligibility criteria such as educational qualification and age limit, and reservation details for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD categories.
While the short notification is already out, the UPSC EPFO Notification 2025 Expected Release Date for the detailed version is 26th July 2025. Both EO/AO and APFC posts will be included in the same notification, but candidates must apply separately if instructed in the official notification.

The application window will be open from 29th July 2025 (12 noon) to 18th August 2025 (11:59 PM). Candidates are advised to apply early and not wait for the last date, as traffic on the UPSC portal increases significantly close to deadlines.

UPSC EPFO Recruitment Notification clearly states that the posts are permanent and come under Group ‘B’ Non-Ministerial category for EO/AO and Group ‘A’ for APFC. The UPSC has released 230 vacancies for recruitment of EO/AO and APFC posts, where 156 seats are for EO/AO and 74 seats for APFC.

UPSC EPFO APFC Notification 2025 is for candidates aspiring for Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner roles. This is a Group A post, and the responsibilities include managing provident fund accounts, overseeing compliance by organizations, and addressing legal matters related to the EPFO Act.
Candidates applying for APFC should ideally have a background in Law, Public Administration, or HR. While the minimum qualification is graduation, candidates with relevant experience or post-graduate degrees may have an edge in the interview round.
