Candidates who clear the Prelims will appear for the UPSC ESE Mains Exam 2025, scheduled for Sunday, August 10, 2025. The Mains consist of two descriptive-type papers, each worth 300 marks, focusing on the candidate’s respective engineering discipline. Each paper is of 3 hours duration, conducted in two shifts.
The UPSC ESE (Engineering Services Examination) Mains 2025 will be held in two sessions on the same day. The result for the UPSC ESE Prelims Exam 2025 will be announced a few weeks after the exam. However, once the Mains exam is successfully conducted, the Mains Exam Result dates will be announced a few weeks later. Candidates qualifying for the Mains will proceed to the Personality Test/Interview. The UPSC Engineering Services Final Result date will be announced later. The final result is decided based on cumulative scores from all stages, will be released after the interview process.
