UPSC Interview Marks: The IAS interview mark is 275. The UPSC Interview is the final selection stage of the Civil Services Examination. Furthermore, only the candidates who will clear this round will be selected for a career in civil services.

In order to be shortlisted for the interview, the aspirants need to clear the cut-off marks of UPSC mains which is conducted for 1750 marks. However, no minimum cut-off score is needed to pass the UPSC CSE interview.

As per the UPSC Interview Trend Analysis, the percentage of interview marks in UPSC usually ranges between 40% to 80%. Therefore, aspirants are advised to adhere to a unique UPSC strategy which includes appearing in the IAS mock interview and going through UPSC interview questions to strengthen the preparation.

UPSC Interview Marks

The IAS Civil Services examination is one the toughest exams in the country. As per the UPSC exam pattern, there shall be three stages in the exam as follows:

  • Prelims: General Studies Paper and CSAT (200 marks for each paper)
  • Mains: Nine Papers (1750 Marks)
  • Personality Test/Interview (275 Marks)

As per the result, the candidates who got the highest IAS interview marks in the year 2021 are Ashutosh Kumar and Kiran PB. They both obtained 206 marks out of the total 275 marks in the personality test round, However, the interview marks in UPSC 2022 are yet to be announced.

Marks Required to Qualify for UPSC Interview

The Union Public Service Commission releases UPSC notification every year in order to recruit eligible and deserving candidates for various posts like IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS, etc.

Lakhs of aspirants appear for the exam and only a few hundred of them are selected for the post owing to their hard work, dedication, and unique UPSC strategy.

The final stage in the UPSC criteria is the Interview/ Personality Test round. With this, the interview carries a total of 275 marks.
