UPSC Interview 2025 Re-scheduled official Notification PDF

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a change in the interview schedule of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Mains 2025 for a limited number of candidates.

As per the official notice, the Personality Test scheduled on 22 January 2026 (Afternoon Session) has been rescheduled. The affected candidates will now appear for their interview on Friday, 27 February 2026 (Forenoon Session).

The rescheduling has been done due to the early closure of government offices on 22 January 2026 in view of the Full Dress Rehearsal for the Republic Day Parade 2026 in New Delhi. Considering the security and logistical arrangements related to this national event, UPSC decided to revise the interview schedule.

This change applies only to those candidates who were earlier allotted the afternoon session on 22 January 2026. All other interview dates and sessions remain unchanged. UPSC has advised the affected candidates to note the revised date and make necessary travel and accommodation arrangements accordingly.

The CSE 2025 Personality Test, which is the final stage of the Civil Services selection process, began on 8 December 2025 and is currently ongoing. Earlier, on 11 November 2025, UPSC had declared the CSE (Mains) 2025 result, after which 2,736 candidates were shortlisted for the interview round.

In a related update, UPSC has also informed that the notification for CSE 2026 and IFS 2026 has been delayed. The notification, which was earlier expected on 14 January 2026, has been postponed due to administrative reasons. The Commission stated that the notification will be released once all required formalities are completed.
