UPSC Prelims Result 2022 is here! On June 22, 2022, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the preliminary test results for the UPSC Civil Services for 2022. On June 5, 2022, the UPSC Prelims 2022 exam was held. On the UPSC’s official website (upsconline.nic.in), candidates can view results sorted by roll number and candidate names.
The UPSC commission administers the civil service examination in three phases each year. The three phases are Prelims, Mains and the Interview round. The selected candidates can serve as officers in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other civil services.
The preliminary results are usually released within a month after the preliminary exam date, based on trends from prior years. The UPSC Prelims Result 2022 was announced by the UPSC Commission on their official website on June 22, 2022. Nearly 13,000 students passed the 2022 preliminary exam out of about 11.52 lakh applications. The marks earned in the UPSC preliminary exam in 2022 will not be taken into account for the final merit list.
Candidates should be aware that the UPSC preliminary exam is merely a qualifying exam. The prelims exam acts as a filter to reduce the number of applicants for the main exam. The candidates who passed the preliminary exam can go for the next phase of UPSC, the main exam.
On June 5, 2022, the Union Public Service Commission administered the CSE Prelims 2022 test. There were two sessions for the UPSC preliminary test in 2022. These are the General Studies Paper I and General Studies Paper II, or CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test). The candidates had to attend both sessions, and both papers had to be passed. The final merit list does not take the UPSC CSE preliminary exam results into account. To be eligible to take the main exam, students must pass the preliminary examination. The CSAT paper’s qualifying cutoff is 33% (or 66.67 Marks ); however, the General Studies Paper-1 cut-off percentage varies annually.
