WHO and its partners organise this event to increase awareness of the importance of donating healthy blood and blood products.

On June 14, 2024, World Blood Donor Day celebrates its 20th anniversary. It is an important time to look back on accomplishments, evaluate difficulties, and look forward to a time when everyone may get safe blood transfusions.
