IndiaAI Mission with New EoI initiative

GS Paper III Science and Technology

The IndiaAI Mission has recently selected eight projects to promote responsible AI development.

These projects were chosen against under the Expression of Interest (EoI) the mission’s “Safe and Trusted AI Pillar” and aim to enhance ethical AI development across various sectors
- Expression of Interest is an open call for proposals to develop tools and frameworks for responsible AI.

About IndiaAI Mission

It is a government-backed initiative to promote the ethical and responsible development of AI in India.
Nodal Ministry: Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)
Focus on Responsible AI: The mission aims to
- Create a framework for safe and trustworthy AI technologies.
- Democratize the benefits of AI for all.
- Strengthen India’s global leadership in AI.
- Foster technological self-reliance.
- Promote ethical and responsible use of AI.
It is implemented by the Independent Business Division (IBD) under the Digital India Corporation (DIC).
