UPSC CAPF 2025 Nationality 

No person who is not a citizen of India shall, except with the consent of the Central Government signified in writing be appointed or employed under these Rules.  Provided that nothing contained in these rules shall debar the appointment, enrolment, or employment of a subject of Nepal or Bhutan under these Rules. Candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria:

  1. Indian Citizen: Both male and female candidates are eligible.
  2. Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan: Eligible for employment under specific permissions from the Central Government.

UPSC CAPF 2025 Age Limit and Gender

Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandant. A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August 2025, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 2000 and not later than 1st August 2005.

The age criteria for candidates are as follows:

  • Minimum Age: 20 years (as of 1st August 2025).
  • Maximum Age: 25 years (as of 1st August 2025).

UPSC CAPF 2025 Educational Qualification

Other Medical Standards for UPSC CAPF 2025

Candidates appearing for the UPSC CAPF Exam 2025 must meet the following additional medical standards to ensure they are physically and medically fit for the rigorous duties of an Assistant Commandant.

Carrying Angle For males: 15 degrees.

For females: 20 degrees.

Ear No deafness or chronic ear discharge.

Ear channels should be free from congenital or acquired conditions like meatal atresia, exostosis, or tumors.

No history of recurring earache, tinnitus, or vertigo.

Nose Conditions like deviated nasal septum (DNS), atrophic rhinitis, tuberculous ulceration, or chronic sinusitis are unacceptable.
Neck No swollen lymph nodes, thyroid, or other swellings.

No difficulty in fully extending the neck or signs of spinal or cervical vertebral disease.

Teeth Candidates must have an adequate number of healthy teeth for proper mastication.

Severe pyorrhea is not acceptable.

Venereal Disease No history or clinical signs of any active venereal disease.
Chronic Skin Disorders Conditions like leprosy, chronic eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), or other chronic skin diseases are disqualifications.
Tattoo Restrictions Tattoos are allowed only on the inner forearm or dorsum of the hand. Size must not exceed ¼ of the body part.
