National Conference On Agri Stack 2025

The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare (MoA&FW) hosted a National Conference on Agri Stack at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, New Delhi.

Objective of the Conference

To review the progress, discuss challenges, and decide the future roadmap for the implementation of Agri Stack under the Digital Agriculture Mission (DAM).
To promote transparent, technology-driven, and farmer-centric governance.

This is the Indian government initiative for modernizing the agricultural sector through digital technologies
Objective: Aims to provide real-time, farmer-centric digital services for improved agricultural decision-making.
DAM is built on two primary digital foundations:
- Agri Stack – A digital framework integrating farmer-related data and schemes.
- Krishi Decision Support System (DSS) – A geospatial system combining data from soil, weather, crops, and water resources.
Additionally, the mission includes Soil Profile Mapping, which provides detailed data on land quality.

Agri Stack

Agri Stack: A foundational digital infrastructure aimed at integrating various farmer-related datasets and integrating Farmer IDs with major schemes like PM-KISAN, PMFBY (Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana), and KCC (Kisan Credit Card).
Key Components:
- Farmer Registry – Digitized records of farmers linked with Aadhaar and land ownership.
- Unified Farmer Service Interface (UFSI) – Standardized framework for integrating government schemes.
- Georeferencing & Remote Sensing – Helps in accurate crop surveys and disaster relief planning.
- Digital Crop Survey (DCS) – AI-driven assessment of crop health, yield estimates, and fraud prevention.
- Digitally Verifiable Certificates (DVCs) – Farmers can generate land and crop credentials linked to DigiLocker.

Integration of Agri Stack with Major Schemes
- Agri Stack will be integrated with PM-KISAN, PMFBY, and KCC to streamline farmer benefits.
- The conference introduced farmer authorization systems and Digitally Verifiable Certificates (DVCs) to improve secure data sharing.
MoUs & Financial Support Announcements
- Maharashtra, Kerala, Bihar, and Odisha signed MoUs to implement Agri Stack solutions.
- ₹6,000 crore allocated under Special Central Assistance (SCA):
  - ₹4,000 crore for Farmer Registry development.
  - ₹2,000 crore for Digital Crop Survey.
- Collaboration with PSB Alliance will simplify credit access for farmers.
State-Level Innovations in Agri Stack Usage
- Maharashtra: Developed Data Provisioning Engine (DPE) and Mahavistaar AI for advisory services.
- Uttar Pradesh: Integrated Agri Stack with MSP e-procurement, improving farmer payment processing.
- Karnataka: Linked FRUITS system with banking, used Agri Stack for disaster relief, and connected soil health cards for customized advisories.
New Digital Solutions for Farmers
- Kisan Pehchan Patra (DVCs) introduced, enabling farmers to create verified land and crop credentials linked to DigiLocker.
- Launch of a unified grievance redressal portal with OTP login, multilingual support, and audio uploads for land-related disputes.
- An AI-powered chatbot (built using Google Gemini) showcased, capable of answering queries in multiple languages.
