The Commission has defined separate reservation quotas for different categories. Here is what you should know about BPSC eligibility for SC ST and other groups:

  • Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe: You need to submit a valid caste certificate. The maximum age limit for this category is 42 years, and the minimum qualifying marks in the preliminary exam are 32%.

  • BPSC eligibility for female candidates: All women who are original residents of Bihar, whether from a reserved or unreserved category, get 35% horizontal reservation across all posts mentioned in this notification. One post, Sub-divisional Protection Officer, is reserved exclusively for female candidates.
