BPSC Prelims syllabus 2026 has one General Studies paper worth 150 marks. The exam runs for two hours and has objective-type multiple-choice questions. This stage only screens you for the Main Examination. The marks from this paper are not added to the final merit list.

General Hindi paper is qualifying in nature. You need 30% marks to pass this paper. These marks are not added to the merit list. The BPSC Mains exam pattern requires three hours for each paper.

BPSC Paper 1 syllabus covers modern Indian history, Indian culture, current events, and data interpretation.
