Key Dimensions Assessed by RAM: RAM focuses on five major areas of AI readiness:

- Social & Cultural – Assesses societal acceptance and ethical concerns.
- Economic – Evaluates AI’s impact on industries and job markets.
- Scientific & Educational – Reviews AI research, education, and skill development.
- Technological & Infrastructural – Analyzes AI infrastructure and innovation capabilities.
- Each dimension is assessed using structured questions, making RAM unique compared to other AI readiness tools.
How is RAM Implemented?
RAM is customized based on each country’s specific conditions and available resources.

- Government agencies
- UNESCO Secretariat & National Commission
- Academia, civil society, and private sector experts
This diverse collaboration ensures comprehensive and effective AI policy development.
India’s AI Governance & RAM
- UNESCO and MeitY (Ministry of Electronics & IT) aim to apply global AI principles to India’s ecosystem.
- AI RAM sessions will continue, encouraging multi-stakeholder discussions to create an inclusive, responsible, and ethical AI policy roadmap.
