India’s Zinc Consumption To Rise To Over 2 mn Tonnes In Next 10 Years

According to the International Zinc Association (IZA), India’s zinc consumption is estimated to increase to over 2 million tonnes in the next 10 years from the current 1.1 million tonnes.

  • Recently, the International Zinc Association (IZA) organised the ‘Zinc College’ in India after 10 years in Udaipur, which is renowned as the Zinc City.
    • Udaipur is home to Hindustan Zinc, India’s largest and the world’s second-largest integrated zinc producer.
